Most people don't know all the crazy things
that take place during a shoot. Not everything goes as smoothly as
the finished product would make you believe. Actually it rarely
does. During the first go around for a recent shoot with the W
Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Florida we we had very little production
due to a hurricane that was off the coast. So we got what we could
with the little time we had not knowing if anything was actually
usable and got the heck out of there. Turns out the hurricane never
even hit.
So a little over a month later it was time for
round 2. This time it looked like everything was going to go as
planned and on day 1 it did. We got through all our shots with just
about no problems. Then came day 2. The first shot was supposed to
be bu the pool however once again mother nature interfered and but
a damper on that with clouds and rain. However having a great crew
and people to work with helps a lot in these situations as we
adapted and moved on to the next shot. Once we completed the indoor
shot we finally caught a break as the sky cleared just in time for
us to be able to do our rescheduled pool shot. After a day of
scrambling around trying to figure out how we were going to get the
shots and keep to the schedule it all seemed to work out. And
it was a good thing the last day was in the studio because once
again weather would have been a problem as there was very high
winds as well as rain the entire day.
So after 2 tries, long crazy days, and a lot of
rain, the shoot was over and successful thanks to our crew that had
to adapt and bounce back after every curveball thrown.
